MOULIN ROUGE C.1896 – LES CAUCASERIES. Rare original litho poster for the famous Moulin Rouge at the turn of the century. This revue obviously involved a Russian theme, as you can see the lady holding up the little Cossack. This fine poster was done by Lucien Faure. It was lithographed by Imprimerie Chaix, the firm owned by poster pioneer Jules Cheret. Size: 23 1/2” x 32 1/2”. Condition is good. This poster has an older linen backing. There is some moderate edge wear and a little wrinkling on one side, but it will frame up beautifully. A striking piece. $1100

JUNIOR RED CROSS POSTER – WWI era - Original. Delightful and uncommon original litho poster for the Junior Red Cross. Beautiful colors. C.1918. Artist is Upjohn. On the back of the poster is the address of the person in Boston it was sent to for posting. It was evidently folded and mailed with a stamp on it. See photos. Size: 25” x 38”. This poster is not backed with linen, but comes protected in a plastic sleeve which can easily be removed for framing. Condition is very good. $350

PAIR - LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILROAD by MASON. A rare pair of original 1930’s lithograph posters by Frank Mason, one of the masters of British Rail posters in the 1930’s. These were two posters from a series of six on East Coast Craft. They have Mason’s classic style and color palette. One poster is for travel to Scotland, the other to Yorkshire. Each poster celebrates a specific kind of sailing craft used along the East coast of England. Mason’s work is highly prized and it is rare to find a pair from the same series. They both have excellent collector value, but as a pair they offer superb decorative value as well. Size of each is: 28” x 40”. Condition overall is excellent.
