BLACKFACE MAN IN TOPHAT SEATED & DRINKING WITH A WOMAN… IN A ROOM SETTING! This is an unusual image to say the least. C.1890’s. Note the wonderful surrounding details... the man’s umbrella, the unusual vase on the table, the prints on the wall, the bottle and other assorted vintage accessories. Perhaps a backstage photo from a play or maybe a photo from a costume party. The photograph measures 3.75” x 4.5” and it is on a mat that measures 5.25” x 5.25". The embossed mat has some modest edge wear, but the photo is in extra fine condition. No creases, tears or discoloration. Extremely sharp with great contrast. $65

CARD GAME IN PROGRESS C.1890’s. Great “action” shot of four guys playing cards. Coat over chair back. Straw hat tossed on the floor. Looks like they have little stem glasses of whiskey. The photograph measures 3.75” x 4.5” and it is on a mat that measures 5.25” x 5.25". The embossed mat has some moderate corner wear, but the photo itself is in excellent condition. No creases, tears and just slight fading. This is a great period piece. $45

GIRLS “PRAYING” IN FRONT OF FAKE COFFIN. Not sure what the occasion was, but it made for a very interesting photo about 100 years ago. These young women are clearly getting a kick out of this, and the one in the middle looks like she can barely keep from bursting out laughing. Looks about 1905-10. No photographer identified. The photograph measures 3.75” x 4.5” and it is on a mat that measures 5.25” x 5.25". The embossed mat has edge and corner wear, but the photo itself is in excellent condition with no creases or tears. Really fun piece. $35

LARGE PRINT OF WEDDING PARTY. C.1890's. Fascinating scene of the wedding party posing in front of what looks to be a factory building where many of them likely worked... their community. This is a 7.5" x 9.5" print mounted on a simple, embossed mat board that is approx. 12 x 15. Mat has some wear on edges, but the image is excellent with just one scratch in the brick area. $45...SALE $35

LITTLE TOM SAWYERS AT PLAY WITH THEIR DOG. A marvelous outdoor image of two young boys who look right out of Tom Sawyer with their bare feet, overalls, dog and bow and arrow. The setting adds a great touch as well with the dappled light penetrating the grove of trees. It doesn’t take much imagination to see the sunny day and hear the breeze in the trees. Photographer unknown. Probably about 1910. The photograph is 6” x 7.75” and is mounted on the typical old mat. The mat has been cut down to about 1/4” around the photo. The photo is somewhat faded, but is otherwise in excellent condition with just a few tiny specks of dirt here and there. $75
