UNUSUAL MULTI-IMAGE CABINET OF YOUNG WOMAN STRIKING POSES. 18 different poses in all with different expressions, hats and props. She gazes. She doffs her boyish cap. She grins. She broods. She scratches her head. She tries on a big flowered hat. And she admires her reflection in a mirror. Maybe she is trying out for a play… no movies yet. Handwritten on the reverse is "Ethel Jones - Lewis Iowa - Taken June 1898". Photographer is "Woodward" of Atlantic, Iowa. The 18 small images are all clear, although a few are a shade or two lighter than the rest. There is also a bit of surface soiling. The card is in good condition, with very minor wear to the corners, and modest soiling. Great personality piece. $45

TRICK PHOTO - GENT IN DONKEY CART 1880's. This is a very unusual and very funny trick cabinet photo that puts a real person’s head on a cartoon drawing. They are all together in the finished print which is a regular cabinet photo. In this image, the real person is wearing a tophat and smoking a cigar. It dates from the 1880’s. Size is 4.25" x 6.5".
